Allie kindly invited me to do one of her Yoga classes at this incredible house that was sponsored by Acme Housing Company. I brought along my camera so we could do some jumping photos before we got started. Allie has a calm and centered energy which comes across beautifully in her jumping photo. This was a lovely morning, we started out with jumping photos then we did her yoga class outside. I left feeling peaced out and happy.
Q: What inspires you to jump for joy?
A: Meditation, inspiration, healing and love!
Q: How was your experience doing the jumping photos?
A: My experience was organic, sweet and transforming. Eyoalha created a comfortable and inviting space. Her passion about this project shined through and was contagious! Before the jump I was processing a lot of emotions. Afterwards I felt lighter and more joyful!
Q: How do you describe the feeling of joy?
A: Joy feels expansive, uplifting and free! It feels like a smile across the heart! I’ve searched for joy most of my life, going through dark periods of depression and anxiety. Joy is an inside job! True joy is found within!
Q: What is your greatest passion in life?
A: Sharing meditation with others. I know with certainty and conviction that a daily meditation practice heals. Nothing has expedited my healing more! We eat every day to nourish our bodies, our soul needs daily nourishment too!
Q: How do you feel about being part of a community project that promotes joy?
A: I’m honored and delighted!
Q: If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?
A: Inspire others to meditate.
Q: What are you working on or creating?
A: I am the personal assistant to the directors of The Palm Springs Cannabis Film Festival and Summit. We are aiming to diminish the stigmas and cliches associated with the plant. Our mission is to bring the medicinal benefits into the light! I’m also the yoga teacher for the event.
Q: Mini bio or something special you want to share.
A: My relationship with yoga, meditation and cannabis began on a quest for self healing. I mindfully infuse cannabis into the practice to decrease pain and heal trauma. My intention is to meet individuals at their comfort level, honoring where each of us are along our paths. I am a registered nurse with 17 years of experience with seniors. My yoga classes are inspired by vinyasa, restorative, ayurveda and trauma-informed yoga trainings. I’m also trained in Transcendental Meditation.
Thank you Allie for inviting me to your yoga class and for sharing your beautiful self and your jumping joy!
