Susannah and her 93 year old mother Jane (Yes, Jane jumped for joy too! Feature will be posted soon) met us in front of Mary Pickford D’Place.
Susannah was lovely and open to wandering around the building trying jumps in various locations. We wandered through the arches and found this beautiful spot on the grass behind the building. Love this shot of her just hovering, with her arms and heart open. Pure joy.
Get to know Susannah a little more:
Q: What inspires you to jump for joy?
A: My family, my friends, achieving a goal, learning something new.
Q: What was your experience doing the jumping photos?
A: I didn’t know what to expect, but I was looking forward to the experience. I enjoyed the shoot and had a good time.
Q: How do you describe the feeling of joy?
A: When my husband and I went on our honeymoon to Tahiti, I had a moment standing in the sand under a blue sky where I felt total joy, total happiness, total contentment.
Q: What is your greatest passion in life?
A: I am passionate about reading, writing, and making sea glass jewelry. I am also passionate about animals – I love my dog and marvel at how easy it is to please him, how little it takes to make him happy – a throw of the ball, a long walk, a lick of whip cream.
Q: How do you feel about being part of a community project that promotes joy?
A: I love being part of a collaborative project that promotes joy. We live in a beautiful valley and in a time where joy adds to our sense of well being.
Q: If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?
A: I’d like to have a radio talk show. I’ve looked into it, but it is more a wish than a need.
Q: What are you working on?
A: Please check out my sea glass jewelry web page: www.sistersjewelrydesign.com
Q: Mini bio or something special you want to share.
A: I have lived in Cathedral City for ten years, moving here from Los Angeles. I like the weather in the desert and the wonderful sunrises and sunsets.
Thank you for coming out to share your joy with us Susannah!
