Rocking out and jumping for joy with with Rocco Patrick

Rocco Patrick photographed by Eyoalha Baker for Jump for Joy Photo Project and Palm Springs Cultural Center Artist Residency

We met Rocco at a shoot we set up with Lenny Meyers. When I asked if he was ready to jump, he grabbed his guitar and – pow! What a fantastic jump for joy!

I love how much this photo captures Rocco’s playful side, he’s clearly a great entertainer and used to being on the stage.

Mini bio:

Rocco came to Desert Hot Springs by way of Brooklyn N. Y. They don’t come any more talented than Rocco. When it comes to songwriting and singing, this creative genius has a flair for words and melody like no one else in the music business. It’s only a matter of time before the world comes to recognize this fact. His heart wrenching, hair raising stories of life in Brooklyn, N.Y. and throughout the United States, coupled with his gifted ability of putting those experiences into song has brought tears, laughter, applause and inspiration to the toughest and most hard hearted listeners.

Rocco’s not sweet, young and innocent. He’s on the other side of 60, mean, old, and guilty. Rocco is a character with character! With songs about hobos, freight trains, demon’s, angels, hookers, debutantes, sinners and saints, Rocco is a walking cliché of true Americana.
