When James chose to meet at the Palm Desert Aquatic Center, I had no idea how beautiful and palm filled the grounds would be.
I could feel how warm and open hearted James was as soon as I saw him, and he gave me a big hug right away. Thankfully Miriam captured one of the wonderful hugs in a photo: @eyoalha.
I knew we had to get a shot with all the massive palm trees in the background, so we did the jumping shoot right in the parking lot. We got so many great shots that it was hard to choose just one! There is a lovely peacefulness and calm about James that comes through in all the photos.

Q: What inspires you to jump for joy?
A: It is part of feeling Happy Joyous and Free and it’s Good for the Soul.
Q: What was your experience doing the jumping photos?
A: I felt a bit shy at first but that quickly left, I am Happy I participated in such a positive project.
Q: How do you describe the feeling of joy?
A: I feel it’s an attitude of gratitude, hard not to feel Joy when one is grateful.
Q: What is your greatest passion in life?
A: I will say Music, sometimes I feel I hardly care much about anything else, except of course my friends and people in general.
Q: How do you feel about being part of a collaborative Coachella Valley community project that promotes joy?
A: I feel honoured to be a part of this project and I am So happy my friend George suggested I participate.
Q: If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?
A: I would bring world peace to all and Yes I am working towards making it happen if in fact Peace begins in the heart.
Q: Mini bio or something special you want to share.
A: I live in Palm Desert and my favorite tree is the palm tree. I grew up in The Boston area and always wanted to be near Palm trees ever since I saw the cover of my dad’s Hawaiian album he had. I am extremely grateful to have survived cancer also Praise God.
